Trustee's special meeting Sept. 28, 2011

A special meeting of the Board of Township Trustees, Newbury Township was called to order at 7:30 p.m., September 29, 2011, with all trustees present.

Purpose of this meeting was to hold discussions with residents living on the portion of Pekin Road west of Sperry Road regarding issues caused by the re-paving of this portion of Pekin Road in 2010. Some of the residents discussed problems they have experienced since the road was repaved including erosion, encroachment on existing gas lines, mail boxes, and drainage. Mr. Hollis said he would look at the items that were brought to the Township’s attention and see if there is anything that the Township can or should do to make repairs. Mr. Snively said that he will await a letter from one of the residents and will then discuss it with Mr. Hollis. Also discussed was the increased traffic and speed since Route 87 has been recently closed for repairs.

This meeting was adjourned at 8:23 p.m., upon a motion by Mr Skomrock, a second by Ms. Blair, and a unanimous affirmative vote.
