A special meeting of the Board of Township Trustees, Newbury Township was called to order at 7:30 p.m., March 9, 2004, with all members present.  Purpose of this meeting was to discuss purchase of real property, and other township business.  Mr. Majeski moved at 7:31 p.m. to adjourn into executive session to discuss the possible purchase of land by the township.  Mr. Quigley seconded this motion, which passed by unanimous vote.  

The trustees returned to regular session at 8:25 p.m., with no action taken within executive session.  Mr. Quigley moved that the trustees tender a letter of intent to purchase the 3.71-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Rt. 87 and Auburn Rd. from Sky Bank for $265,000.  Mr. Majeski seconded this motion, which passed by unanimous vote.

Mr. Quigley moved that the trustees not request a hearing on the transfer of ownership of a liquor license covering the Hickory Lake Restaurant.  Mr. Majeski seconded this motion, which passed by unanimous vote.

Correspondence received since the last meeting was reviewed by Mr. Fioritto.  This meeting was adjourned at 8:52 p.m., upon a motion by Mr. Quigley a second by Mr. Majeski, and a unanimous affirmative vote.
