Road Department

The Newbury Road Department provides maintenance services for township roads.   The Road Department is funded by two state sources - the Motor Vehicle License Tax and the Gasoline Tax, as well as two property tax levies.  The Year 2000 appropriation for all Road Department activities was $804,500.

Key Responsibilities:

Snow removal on township roads
Repair and maintenance of paved township road surfaces
Mowing of roadsides and maintenance of ditches along township roads
Cemetery grave openings/closings
